What is WACE?

WACE stands for the Western Australia Certificate of Education.  This is recognized as an Australian  Certificate of Education under the Australian Qualifications Framework and is grounds for progression into university in Australia or anywhere in the world. 

Key features of the WACE include:

  • The Curriculum Council of Australia conducts the program on behalf of the Western Australian government.
  • Students begin their program in January or February and students sit for the examinations in November of Year 12.
  • Students sit for the same examinations the same time as students completing the Year 12 program in Western Australia.
  • It is an internationally recognized 12-year diploma backed by Australian Government.
